    52 Maoists, Including 21 Women, Surrender in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur District

    Law Notify, January 15, 2026 : In a significant development in Chhattisgarh, fifty-two Maoists surrendered before security forces in Bijapur district today. The surrendered cadres carried a combined reward of one crore forty-five lakh rupees. Among them were twenty-one women Maoists.

    The group was linked to the South Sub-Zonal Bureau and the Bhairamgarh Area Committee of the Maoist organisation. In line with the Chhattisgarh government’s rehabilitation policy, each surrendered Maoist has been given financial assistance of fifty thousand rupees.
