Law Notify, January 15, 2026 : The In-charge Minister of Kabirdham district and State Minister for Industries, Lakhanlal Dewangan, has directed officials to conduct inspections of hospitals in connection with treatment provided under the Ayushman Card scheme. He also instructed officers to regularly carry out field inspections to ensure effective monitoring of departmental schemes.
Chairing a review meeting in Kawardha, the Minister emphasized that the primary objective of the government is to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the common people directly. He urged all officials to discharge their responsibilities efficiently and to continuously monitor schemes, addressing shortcomings immediately so that benefits and facilities reach the last person.
During the meeting, the Minister stressed that every eligible beneficiary must receive the benefits of key central government schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, Ayushman Bharat, and the Janman Scheme. He also reviewed various construction works being undertaken by different departments and directed that they be completed within the stipulated time frame with good quality.
The review meeting at the Collectorate conference hall covered the progress of several major schemes including the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, paddy procurement, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Card scheme, and initiatives under departments such as animal husbandry, education, and panchayats. The Collector provided an overview of implementation and progress across departments.
The Minister said that the goal of a developed India by 2047, envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is being pursued in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai with the vision of “Developed Chhattisgarh 2047.” He called upon all officials and public representatives to work together in a spirit of teamwork for the development of Kabirdham district.
Addressing concerns raised by public representatives, the Minister directed officials to resolve local issues on priority. Regarding Ayushman Card implementation, he noted complaints about some private hospitals not providing free treatment. He ordered the formation of teams to prepare a list of such hospitals, conduct inspections, and ensure free treatment under the scheme. Strict action will be taken against hospitals found violating the norms.
He further stated that drinking water, roads, electricity, health services, and ration supply are basic necessities, and officials must work continuously to ensure their availability. He emphasized frequent field visits by district officers and prompt grievance redressal. Reviewing the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, he directed that incomplete houses be finished at the earliest. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, he stressed quality implementation and timely completion to ensure tap water supply to every household. He also asked the Fisheries Department to expand the reach of cage culture and other schemes to enhance incomes through fish farming.
Member of Parliament Santosh Pandey emphasized that works found lacking must be completed on priority and with quality. He said that procurement of paddy from all farmers is a government priority and farmers’ issues must be resolved promptly. He reviewed centrally sponsored schemes and their implementation in the district, encouraged effective use of Atal Tinkering Labs in schools, and stressed public accessibility of officers for grievance resolution. He also reviewed the construction of the Critical Care Unit and called for wide publicity of public welfare provisions under the Viksit Bharat initiatives.
Pandariya MLA, Bhavana Bohra highlighted the importance of timely completion of development works so that benefits reach people without delay. She reviewed fertilizer storage and distribution, directed timely outreach of mobile veterinary medical units to villages, and reviewed ongoing urban development works. She also instructed electricity department officials to remain active in the field and address public grievances promptly.
