January 16, 2026 : The Government has blocked access to 242 illegal online betting and gambling website links. Official sources said that more than 7,800 such illegal platforms have been taken down so far, with enforcement actions rising sharply after the enactment of the Online Gaming Act.
Sources added that the latest action underlines the Government’s commitment to safeguarding users, particularly young people, and to reducing the financial and social harm caused by unlawful online betting and gambling platforms.
