Law Notify : Droupadi Murmu has approved the conferment of the Jeevan Raksha Padak Series of Awards for 2025 on 30 individuals in recognition of their exceptional courage and humanitarian service in saving human lives.
The honours include the Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak for six persons, the Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak for another six, and the Jeevan Raksha Padak for 18 individuals. Six awardees are being recognised posthumously.
The Jeevan Raksha Padak Series of Awards is instituted to honour acts of conspicuous bravery, selflessness and prompt action that result in saving the life of another person. The awards are open to individuals from all walks of life and may be conferred posthumously in deserving cases.
