January 02, 2026 : Anurag Garg, Director General of the Narcotics Control Bureau, reviewed anti-drug trafficking measures during his visit to the Indo-Myanmar border in Champhai. During the visit, he interacted with the police, district administration, and Assam Rifles officers to discuss strategies for preventing cross-border drug trafficking.
Mr Garg later met Sharad Agarwal, Director General of Police of Mizoram, and held detailed discussions with Central and State intelligence, enforcement, and security agencies on strengthening coordinated efforts to tackle drug trafficking.
