February 04, 2026 : The Government of Chhattisgarh is steadily advancing administrative efficiency and digital governance under Mission Karmayogi through a focused and forward-looking approach. Under the guidance of Chief Secretary Shri Vikas Sheel and on the initiative of Shri Avinash Champavat, Secretary, General Administration Department, a virtual handholding workshop was organized today at Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur, to support departments in preparing their Departmental Capacity Building Plans (CBPs) through the iGOT (Integrated Government Online Training) platform.
The workshop witnessed active participation from nodal officers of various state departments. Experts from the Capacity Building Commission, New Delhi, joined through video conferencing and provided detailed guidance on the structured process of preparing CBPs. The sessions covered scientific assessment of training needs, identification of competency gaps, and development of structured, outcome-oriented training frameworks for government officials and employees.
Under the leadership of the Chief Secretary, the iGOT platform has been positioned as a key governance priority in the state, aimed at modernizing administrative work culture and enhancing efficiency and accountability. Through Mission Karmayogi, Chhattisgarh is working towards building a knowledge-driven, skilled, and responsive administrative system. These efforts are expected to significantly improve administrative performance and the quality of public service delivery.
The General Administration Department, under the leadership of Secretary Shri Avinash Champavat, is ensuring that each Departmental Capacity Building Plan is tailored to the specific functions, responsibilities, and operational needs of individual departments. Inputs such as departmental organograms, role allocations, annual reports, and relevant rules and statutes are being used to develop a systematic and scientific training architecture that is practical, goal-oriented, and citizen-centric.
So far, nodal officers from 40 state departments have prepared their respective CBPs. Based on these plans, role-based iGOT training courses have been identified for all officers and employees, ensuring that each individual receives training aligned with their specific job responsibilities. The iGOT platform is thus being implemented at scale across the state to strengthen administrative capacity.
As part of this initiative, around 1,200 officers have been provided specialized training in ten batches. The training included hands-on guidance on platform registration, completion of training modules, certification, and digital documentation of learning achievements. Notably, under the leadership of the Chief Secretary and the Secretary, General Administration Department, nearly 1,200 officers and employees have already been trained through the iGOT platform, marking a significant milestone in administrative capacity building in the state. This initiative is fostering leadership skills, innovation, knowledge sharing, and a culture of healthy professional competition among government personnel.
The overarching objective of the program is to continuously enhance the competence, efficiency, and capacity of government officials and employees across departments. By doing so, the functioning of the government is expected to become more transparent, faster, and results-driven. Chhattisgarh’s focused implementation of Mission Karmayogi represents a strong step towards positioning the state as a leader in digital governance and realizing the vision of a “digital, efficient, and citizen-oriented administration.”
