Pali, February 13, 2026 : On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, the two-day Pali Mahotsav 2026 will be held on February 15 and 16 at the Pali Mahotsav Ground in Kerajharia village panchayat, Korba district. The district administration has completed all preparations for the event, which promises to blend religious devotion, cultural heritage and contemporary music on a grand scale.
The festivities will begin on February 15 at 7 pm with a Shiv Aarti and Deepotsav at the Pali Shiv Temple ghat. The inaugural ceremony will be attended by Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Public Works, Public Health Engineering, Urban Administration and Development, and Sports and Youth Welfare, Arun Sao, as the chief guest. Commerce, Labour, Industry, Excise and Public Sector Undertakings Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan will preside over the function.
Among those expected to attend as special guests are Korba MP Jyotsna Charan Das Mahant, Katghora MLA Premchand Patel, Pali-Tanakhar MLA Tuleshwar Hira Singh Markam, Rampur MLA Phoolsingh Rathiya, District Panchayat President Dr Pawan Kumar Singh, Korba Mayor Sanju Devi Rajput, District Panchayat Vice President Nikita Mukesh Jaiswal, Pali Nagar Panchayat President Ajay Jaiswal and Kerajharia Sarpanch Girja Satyanarayan Painkara.
The opening evening will feature performances by popular Bollywood singers Meet Bros, Khushboo Grewal and Salman Ali. Chhattisgarh artists Deepak Sahu and Rishiraj Pandey will also perform, along with a traditional puppet dance that is expected to draw strong interest from visitors.
To encourage youth participation, the district administration has also organised a cycle race competition on February 15 as part of the celebrations.
The closing ceremony will be held on February 16. Lakhan Lal Dewangan will attend as chief guest, while MP Jyotsna Charan Das Mahant will preside over the function. Several public representatives from the district will be present.
The final evening will feature a performance by Chhattisgarh’s popular singer Anuj Sharma. Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor will also take the stage with her hit songs. The programme will include a sitar recital by Lovely Sharma, cultural performances by local artists and another puppet dance presentation.
With its mix of devotion, local culture and mainstream entertainment, Pali Mahotsav 2026 is expected to draw large crowds from across the region and stand out as one of the major Mahashivratri celebrations in Korba district.
