Raipur, February 22, 2026 : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai extended a warm welcome to the Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant, on his arrival in the state. The Chief Minister presented him with a bouquet and traditional mementos reflecting Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage.
As a mark of respect, the Chief Minister gifted a state ceremonial gamcha, a coffee table book based on the internationally renowned Bastar Dussehra, and an artistic bell metal replica depicting Lord Ram and Mata Shabari.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also welcomed Supreme Court judges Justice P. Narasimha and Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra, along with the Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court, Justice Ramesh Sinha.
Justice Surya Kant is in Chhattisgarh to attend the convocation ceremony of Hidayatullah National Law University as the Chief Guest. The ceremony is expected to be attended by graduating students, faculty members, and members of the legal fraternity.
