  • PM Narendra Modi Begins Two-Day State Visit to Israel, Set to Address Knesset and Hold Talks with Netanyahu

    New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday began a two-day State visit to Israel, his second trip to the country, in a move aimed at deepening the India–Israel Strategic Partnership.

    Before departing, Modi said the two nations share a strong and multi-layered partnership that has grown significantly in recent years. He noted that during his visit he would hold detailed discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to explore ways to expand cooperation across a range of sectors. He is also scheduled to meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog.

    A key highlight of the visit will be Modi’s address to the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset. He described the address as a reflection of the strong parliamentary and democratic ties between the two countries. The Prime Minister is also set to engage with members of the Indian diaspora in Israel, acknowledging their role in strengthening bilateral relations.

    According to the Prime Minister’s Office, talks between Modi and Netanyahu will focus on enhancing collaboration in science and technology, innovation, agriculture, water management, defence and security, trade and investment, along with people-to-people exchanges. The two leaders are also expected to exchange views on regional and global developments of shared interest.

    Modi said he looks forward to interacting with the Indian community in Israel, describing them as long-standing contributors to the special friendship between the two nations. He expressed confidence that the visit would consolidate existing ties, set fresh priorities for the strategic partnership and advance a shared vision of resilience, innovation and prosperity.
