  • NIA Arrests Two More in Red Fort Blast Case, Total Arrests Reach Eleven

    February 26, 2026 : The National Investigation Agency has arrested two more individuals in connection with the November 10, 2025 bomb blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, taking the total number of arrests in the case to eleven.

    The accused have been identified as Zameer Ahmad Ahangar from Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir, and Tufail Ahmad Bhat from Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. According to the NIA, both men were actively involved in the conspiracy and allegedly supplied weapons to the prime accused.

    The explosion claimed eleven lives and injured several others. The main accused, Umer Un Nabi, died in the blast.

    Investigators say the conspiracy was led by Umer Un Nabi in coordination with other accused, including Muzammil Ganai, Shaheen Saeed, Mufti Irfan, Adeel Ahmed Rather, and five others who allegedly provided shelter and logistical support.

    The NIA is investigating the case under a registered FIR to uncover the full extent of the conspiracy. The agency is working closely with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Haryana Police, and other security agencies. Officials have indicated that the two recently arrested individuals may also have links to other terror-related activities currently under scrutiny.
