    Indian Embassy in Qatar Facilitates Return of Over 500 Stranded Indians

    March 12, 2026 : The Indian Embassy in Qatar has confirmed that more than 500 Indian nationals who were stranded in the country returned to New Delhi and other destinations on Qatar Airways flights last night.

    According to the Embassy, Qatar Airways is scheduled to operate two additional flights to India today, with one flight each bound for New Delhi and Mumbai. These services are part of ongoing efforts to assist Indian citizens wishing to return home.

    The Embassy also stated that its three 24-hour helplines remain operational to support members of the Indian community and address any queries related to travel or assistance.

    To help citizens requiring urgent documentation, the Embassy has prioritised the quick issuance of passports. In view of the prevailing situation, the Embassy is currently open all seven days of the week to accept passport applications, and Tatkal passports are being issued within one to two days.

    Officials have urged Indian nationals in Qatar to pay close attention to alerts and warning messages issued through official channels and strictly follow the advised guidelines. People have also been cautioned not to approach any unidentified objects, debris, or fragments and to immediately report such findings by calling the emergency number 999.
