March 12, 2026 : In accordance with the directions of the High Court of Chhattisgarh at Bilaspur, International Women’s Day was celebrated on March 8 under the guidance of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Baikunthpur.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a grand programme was organized at the District and Sessions Court, Baikunthpur. The event was graced by the presence of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Shri Yogesh Parik, who attended as the Chief Guest. All judges posted at the District Court, Baikunthpur, as well as judges serving at the courts of Manendragarh, Chirmiri, and Janakpur, were also present.
Court staff members and practicing women advocates associated with the District Court participated in the programme. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before the portrait of Goddess Saraswati. Guests and participating women were welcomed with badges and traditional tilak.
Women actively participated in the programme, which included poetry recitations and cultural performances. Women employees working in the District Court were honored with certificates of appreciation and mementos in recognition of their outstanding work.
During the programme, speakers highlighted the dedication and contributions of women in various sectors of society. In his address, the Chief Guest emphasized the important role of women in society, acknowledging their achievements and commitment, and called upon everyone to uphold respect and dignity for women.
