IIFT Invites Applications for Research Positions at Centre for WTO Studies (CRIT); Apply by April 10

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has released an official notification inviting applications for multiple research positions at its Centre for WTO Studies (CWS), functioning under the Centre for Research in International Trade (CRIT), New Delhi. The recruitment is being conducted on a contractual basis and offers opportunities for candidates interested in international trade, law, and public policy.

As per the notification, the institute is hiring for roles including Consultant, Associate, and Young Professional. These positions are designed to support research and policy work related to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and global trade issues.

The total number of vacancies is reported to be around 10, spanning across different experience levels. Selected candidates will work closely with a premier think tank that contributes to India’s engagement in international trade negotiations and policy formulation.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying for Consultant, Associate, and experienced Young Professional roles must possess a Master’s degree in disciplines such as Economics, Law, International Relations, or Public Policy with at least 55% marks. For entry-level Young Professional roles, an LLB or relevant postgraduate degree from top-ranked institutions is required.

Experience requirements vary by position:

  • Consultants require a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience
  • Associates need at least 3 years of experience
  • Young Professionals may apply with or without prior experience depending on the role

Salary Structure:
The remuneration offered is competitive and varies according to the role:

  • Consultant: ₹1,37,500 to ₹2,65,000 per month
  • Associate: ₹80,000 to ₹1,45,000 per month
  • Young Professional: ₹50,000 to ₹60,000 per month

Duration and Nature of Engagement:
The appointments will be purely contractual for an initial period of one year, which may be extended based on performance and organizational requirements.
