OPTCL Recruitment 2026: 50 Vacancies Announced for MT, JMT and Office Assistant Posts, Apply by April 15

February 4, 2026 : The Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) has released a detailed recruitment advertisement inviting online applications for multiple trainee-level posts, offering a significant opportunity for candidates seeking government jobs in the power sector.

As per Advertisement No. MPP&R-08/2025-26, a total of 50 vacancies have been announced across various positions, including Management Trainee (Civil and Law), Junior Management Trainee (Civil), and Office Assistant Grade-III Trainee.

The breakdown of vacancies includes 5 posts for Management Trainee (Civil), 3 for Management Trainee (Law), 4 for Junior Management Trainee (Civil), and a major share of 38 posts for Office Assistant Grade-III Trainee.

The online application process commenced on March 16, 2026, and will remain open until April 15, 2026, through the official OPTCL website. Candidates are advised to complete their applications within the stipulated timeline to avoid last-minute issues.

In terms of eligibility, candidates must possess qualifications relevant to the post, such as a degree in Civil Engineering, Law, Diploma in Civil Engineering, or a graduate degree with computer knowledge and proficiency in the Odia language.

The selection process will involve a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by a Personal Interview or Skill Test, depending on the post applied for. The final merit will be prepared by giving weightage to both stages.

Selected candidates will undergo a training period during which they will receive a stipend ranging from ₹20,000 to ₹50,000 per month. Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be placed in regular pay scales as per OPTCL norms.
