DP Law College Bilaspur Leads “Waste to Best” Initiative to Support Birds Amid Rising Heat

Bilaspur : Amid rising temperatures and increasing water scarcity, DP Law College in Bilaspur has taken a commendable step to help birds and animals survive the harsh summer. Under the “Waste to Best” initiative, volunteers from the National Service Scheme (NSS) have creatively reused plastic waste to make water containers and nests for birds.

The primary aim of this initiative is to provide water and shelter to birds struggling during the intense summer heat. These handmade containers have been placed around trees within the college campus, ensuring easy access to water for birds and helping them cope with extreme weather conditions.

College Principal Sushma Tiwari stated that this effort is not just an activity but a meaningful step towards environmental awareness and social responsibility. She also urged citizens to place water-filled containers outside their homes to support birds and animals during the scorching heat.

The students and volunteers extended their efforts beyond the campus by taking a pledge to arrange water for animals and birds in their local neighborhoods as well. This initiative is playing a vital role in spreading awareness and encouraging people to be more compassionate towards nature.

The college administration appreciated the efforts, highlighting that such initiatives strengthen environmental consciousness and social responsibility among youth.

At a time when temperatures continue to soar, such small yet impactful steps can make a significant difference in protecting wildlife and promoting eco-friendly practices.
