May 19, 2026 : Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University of Chhattisgarh has issued a notification for its fourth convocation ceremony, which is scheduled to be held on June 5, 2026, in Raipur. The university has invited eligible students to apply for participation in the convocation and for receiving degrees, including MCh degrees and gold medals.
According to the notification, students who successfully completed their courses between January 2024 and December 2025 and those who secured first position in the merit list during the 2024-25 examinations in various classes will be eligible for gold medals instituted in the names of donors. The university stated that applications for participation in the convocation must be submitted by May 29, 2026.
The university has fixed an application fee of Rs 1000 for students receiving degrees during the ceremony, while candidates applying for gold medals will have to pay Rs 500. In addition, all participants must deposit a refundable caution amount of Rs 1500 for the ceremonial gown. The amount will be refunded after the gown is returned in proper condition immediately after the ceremony.
Applicants have been directed to submit the prescribed form along with a self-attested copy of Aadhaar card or any valid identity proof and a copy of the bank deposit slip. The notification further stated that the convocation rehearsal will be held on June 4, 2026, at 11 am at Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College auditorium in Raipur.
The university clarified that applications received after the prescribed deadline will not be considered for participation in the convocation ceremony. Application forms and detailed information have been made available on the university’s official website.
