May 28, 2026 : The Chhattisgarh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (CGRERA) has issued an advisory urging citizens, allottees, and promoters to remain vigilant against cyber fraud and financial scams. The authority said it has come to its notice that some unauthorized individuals are falsely posing as CGRERA officials or employees and attempting to collect money from people through fraudulent means.
CGRERA clarified that it never directs anyone to deposit money into personal bank accounts, mobile numbers, UPI IDs, or any other private payment channels. The authority stated that all payments related to CGRERA are accepted only through officially authorized and prescribed modes.
The authority has appealed to the public to exercise caution while dealing with suspicious calls, messages, or demands for money. Citizens have also been advised not to share banking details, OTPs, or any other confidential personal information with unknown individuals.
CGRERA further said that any suspected cyber fraud attempt or suspicious activity should be immediately reported to the cyber cell or the nearest police station so that timely action can be taken.
The authority has urged people to remain alert and rely only on official communication channels for any transactions or information related to CGRERA.
