Chhattisgarh High Court to Resume Regular Hearings from June 15 After Summer Vacation
Article:
Bilaspur: The Chhattisgarh High Court will resume its regular judicial functioning from Monday, June 15, following the conclusion of its month-long summer vacation. All designated Division Benches and Single Benches are set to hold regular hearings, and the cause list for the coming week has already been published.
The High Court’s summer break commenced on May 18. During this period, urgent and essential matters were heard by specially constituted vacation benches. Hearings continued on designated days before Division and Single Benches, resulting in the disposal of several important cases and the passing of significant orders.
With the end of the vacation, the court will return to its normal schedule and functioning. The cause list issued for June 15 indicates that the Bench headed by the Chief Justice, along with other regular benches, will take up fresh matters, motion hearings, appeals, and pending cases.
Notably, the High Court administration has already withdrawn the work-from-home arrangement that was introduced earlier. As regular proceedings resume, advocates will once again appear physically before the court to argue their cases.
However, the facility of virtual hearings through video conferencing will continue to remain available, allowing lawyers and litigants to participate remotely whenever required.
