Supreme Court-Appointed High-Powered Committee Invites Public Suggestions on Aravalli Hills Conservation

July 21, 2026 : The High-Powered Committee constituted by the Supreme Court to examine issues concerning the Aravalli Hills and Ranges has invited suggestions, comments, and relevant information from the public. The committee was established by the apex court in May this year to study concerns relating to the protection, conservation, and management of the Aravalli ecosystem, along with other connected issues.

According to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, individuals and stakeholders may submit their responses, supported by documentary evidence or any other verifiable material, through email at mshpcaravalli@gmail.com within three weeks.

The committee has been directed to prepare a comprehensive report on the issues under its consideration and submit it to the Supreme Court before the end of next month. The report is expected to assist the Court in addressing environmental and ecological concerns related to the Aravalli Hills and Ranges.
