The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has dismantled two clandestine drug laboratories in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, seizing large quantities of synthetic drugs, precursor chemicals and laboratory equipment. Two individuals, including a foreign national, have been arrested in connection with the operation.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated the NCB on the successful operation in a social media post, describing it as a significant example of intelligence-led enforcement. He said the action reflects the government’s firm commitment to dismantling drug cartels before December 2029.
The operation aligns with the Vision Document on Narcotics Control 2026–2029, adopted under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mission for Nashamukt Bharat. The initiative aims to strengthen anti-narcotics enforcement and intensify efforts to combat drug trafficking and illicit drug manufacturing across the country.
