Bilaspur, January 26, 2026 : The High Court of Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur, observed the 77th Republic Day on Monday with dignity and patriotic spirit at its premises. The celebrations reflected the institution’s continued commitment to constitutional values and democratic principles.
The programme began with Ramesh Sinha, Hon’ble the Chief Justice, offering floral tributes to the statues of Mahatma Gandhi and B. R. Ambedkar within the court परिसर. The gesture paid homage to the nation’s founding figures and reaffirmed faith in the ideals enshrined in the Constitution of India.
Following this, the Chief Justice unfurled the National Flag. The ceremony continued with the National Anthem and the collective singing of “Vande Mataram,” creating an atmosphere marked by unity, pride, and reverence for the nation.
A ceremonial march-past by police personnel and NCC cadets formed a key highlight of the event, showcasing discipline and a spirit of service. The Chief Justice reviewed the parade and later presented mementoes to the parade commanders in appreciation of their performance. He also interacted with invited dignitaries and visited an exhibition stall where aircraft models crafted by NCC cadets were displayed.
The occasion was attended by Hon’ble Judges of the High Court along with their family members, officers of the Registry, the Advocate General, members of the High Court Bar, officers and staff of the Advocate General’s office, judicial officers, police officials, NCC cadets, court staff, citizens, and other invited guests.
The Republic Day celebrations at the High Court served as a reaffirmation of the judiciary’s dedication to justice, unity, and the constitutional and democratic ideals of the country.
