March 13, 2026 : The High Court of Chhattisgarh held a formal Full Court Reference to pay tribute to three respected members of the legal community, Late Shri P.C. Pant, Late Shri R. Agrawal, and Late Smt. V. Chouhan.
The tribute meeting was presided over by the Hon’ble the Chief Justice and attended by other judges of the High Court. During the proceedings, judges and members of the Bar shared their memories and spoke about the professional dedication, integrity, and contributions of the departed legal personalities.
Speakers recalled the important roles played by Shri Pant, Shri Agrawal, and Smt. Chouhan in strengthening the judicial system of the state. They highlighted their commitment to justice and their service to the legal profession and society.
As a mark of respect, the court also observed a moment of silence in memory of the three departed members of the legal fraternity.
A Full Court Reference is a long-standing tradition in the Indian judiciary. It is organized to honor judges and senior members of the legal community who have passed away and to formally acknowledge their contributions to the justice system. The ceremony also reflects the close relationship between the Bench and the Bar.
