Law Notify, January 17, 2026 : Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant on Friday laid the foundation stone and carried out the groundbreaking ceremony for six integrated court complexes in Uttar Pradesh. The projects will come up in the districts of Chandauli, Mahoba, Amethi, Shamli, Hathras, and Auraiya.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Justice said the initiative would set a benchmark for judicial infrastructure across the country. He noted that modern, integrated court complexes are essential for improving access to justice and strengthening public confidence in the judicial system.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who was present at the event, said that the empowerment of democracy requires an equally strong and efficient judiciary. He added that the state government aims to develop such court complexes in every district, with the six districts chosen for the project serving as a pilot phase.
