Law Notify : Chief Justice of India Surya Kant on Thursday announced a set of technology-led administrative reforms aimed at improving efficiency within the judiciary and addressing the long-standing issue of case pendency.
As part of the initiative, the Chief Justice launched a digital partnership with various high courts. Under this system, trial court orders and high court directions will be updated digitally and reflected seamlessly across courts. This will create a unified and real-time repository of pending cases at both the high court level and the Supreme Court of India, helping judges and administrators track progress more effectively.
The Chief Justice also announced the rollout of an integrated online payment system to simplify administrative transactions within the judiciary.
In a move to strengthen security at court premises, the Chief Justice launched the Park Authorisation Record Keeper (PARK) app. The app automates vehicle access permissions and related security protocols within the court complex. Applicants can now submit vehicle authorisation requests online and track their status in real time, reducing paperwork and manual checks.
Together, these measures mark a significant push toward digital governance in the judicial system, with a focus on transparency, efficiency, and security.
