February 27, 2026 : After being acquitted in the alleged Delhi excise policy scam, Arvind Kejriwal, National Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party and former Chief Minister of Delhi, said that the court has dismissed all charges and discharged all the accused in the case. He stated that he has always maintained his innocence and that the truth has now prevailed.

The court’s decision also brings relief to senior party leader Manish Sisodia and other accused persons named in the matter.

Responding to the verdict, Sudhanshu Trivedi, spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party, said that the acquittal by the lower court was due to lack of evidence. He described the development as a technical outcome and alleged that hundreds of mobile phones and SIM cards had been destroyed during the course of the investigation. He added that the party would present a detailed and structured response after examining all aspects of the case.
