Law Notify, January 15, 2026 : The Election Commission of India has extended the timeline for the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Goa, Lakshadweep, Rajasthan, Puducherry and West Bengal. The revised schedule now allows electors to submit claims and objections up to January 19.
In a communication sent to the Chief Electoral Officers of the concerned states and Union Territories, the Commission said the decision was taken after considering requests received from the CEOs along with other relevant factors. The ECI has also instructed the officers to ensure wide publicity of the extended deadline so that all eligible voters are informed and can take advantage of the additional time.
