Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, launched the nationwide ‘MY Bharat Budget Quest 2026’ today. Building on the success of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, this initiative aims to deepen the youth’s understanding of the Union Budget, making its provisions more accessible, relatable, and citizen-focused. The program seeks to bridge the gap between budgetary policies and citizens’ daily lives by actively engaging students from colleges, institutions, and coaching centers through a structured, participatory format.
Dr. Mandaviya emphasized that the initiative underscores the government’s commitment to empowering young voices. The first round of the competition is open to all youth registered on the MY Bharat portal until February 17. Top performers from each State and Union Territory will then advance to a second essay-writing round, scheduled from February 17 to March 3. Participants will choose from eight pre-defined topics linked to the Union Budget and aligned with the Viksit Bharat vision.
The Ministry announced that State and UT-wise merit lists will be published on March 10. Winners will receive the unique opportunity to interact with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
