Raipur, January 26, 2026 : For the first time in Chhattisgarh, an initiative led by the Governor brought students and educators together at Lok Bhavan under the “Experience During School Life” programme. Students from various higher secondary schools, along with principals and teachers, participated in the interactive session.
Addressing the gathering, Ramen Deka, Governor of Chhattisgarh, engaged directly with students on key issues such as examination preparation, stress management, career choices, and maintaining a positive outlook in life.
The Governor reflected on how examination systems have evolved over time, noting that success today depends not on rote learning but on conceptual understanding and regular practice. He emphasized the importance of patience, discipline, and time management, advising students to study consistently rather than burdening themselves at the last moment.
He encouraged students to avoid unnecessary stress during exams and highlighted that not everyone needs to become an engineer or a doctor. There are vast opportunities across diverse fields, and students should choose careers aligned with their interests and passions. According to him, true fulfillment comes not only from achievement but also from cultivating a positive mindset.
Sharing personal experiences, the Governor urged students to view failure as a learning opportunity rather than a setback. Responding to questions on concentration, he cautioned against distractions from mobile phones and social media during study hours, stressing the need to consume accurate information and avoid negative influences.
He also underlined the importance of open communication between parents and children, advising parents to support their children’s interests instead of imposing career choices. Motivating students further, he said hobbies can also be transformed into successful careers with the right mindset and sustained effort.
The programme was attended by Purandar Mishra, who described the interaction as a valuable opportunity for students to receive direct guidance from the Governor. Governor’s Secretary C. R. Prasanna explained the objectives of the initiative. At the conclusion of the event, Governor Deka presented commemorative certificates to all participating students.
