Jagdalpur: Reinforcing its legacy as the first and only women’s college in the Bastar Commissionerate, Govt. Danteshwari P.G. Mahila Mahavidyalaya has announced a comprehensive Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Gender Sensitisation scheduled from March 6 to March 13, 2026.
Established in 1972 and later converted into a women’s college in 1978, the institution has consistently championed women’s education and holistic development. Affiliated with Shaheed Mahendra Karma Vishwavidyalaya, the college offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across multiple disciplines and actively undertakes academic and community initiatives.
The upcoming FDP, organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, aims to deepen understanding of gender concepts, identify institutional responsibilities, and promote ethical conduct and mutual respect. Participants will explore contemporary gender perspectives, socio-economic dimensions of equality, family disintegration issues, and the use of digital technologies to advance gender awareness.
The programme will be conducted in hybrid mode to ensure broader participation. Eminent academicians, legal experts, and social entrepreneurs will deliver expert lectures and share best practices.
Organizers stated that the initiative aligns with national education priorities and seeks to cultivate safe, equitable institutional cultures across higher education campuses.
Interested participants can register online before March 4, 2026.
