March 22, 2026 : In a major anti-extremism operation in Jharkhand, Hazaribagh Police have apprehended eight members of the banned TSPC outfit from the Urimari OP area. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the police intercepted the suspects near Aswa and Gudkuwa villages.

The accused attempted to escape, but their vehicle crashed during the chase, leading to their immediate arrest. A search operation resulted in the recovery of two rifles, a country-made pistol, several live cartridges of different calibres, mobile phones, and the vehicle used in the operation.

During interrogation, the arrested individuals disclosed their links with TSPC zonal commander Bhikhan Ganjhu and sub-zonal commander Dinesh. They were reportedly involved in extortion activities, spreading terror, and were also connected to a previous firing incident in the Patratu area of Ramgarh district.
