January 10, 2026 : Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur has launched a new strategic academic initiative titled “HNLU GenZ LeX: Statute to Strategy”, aimed at strengthening the connection between classroom learning and real-world legal practice.
The initiative has been designed as a regular, high-impact platform to facilitate direct interaction between HNLU students and experienced legal professionals from the industry. Through this programme, the university seeks to emphasise the practical application of legal theory and expose students to contemporary challenges faced by the legal profession.
Under GenZ LeX, distinguished practitioners, including partners from reputed law firms and industry experts, will conduct sessions focusing on current legal issues, emerging practice areas, and evolving professional skill requirements. The programme intends to offer students practical insights that go beyond textbooks and traditional lectures.
The sessions will be conducted online on a fortnightly basis, with each session lasting approximately one to one-and-a-half hours. The format will include interactive lectures or expert conversations, followed by structured question-and-answer segments to encourage meaningful engagement. Participation is open to all students and faculty members, and no registration fee has been prescribed.
One of the key objectives of GenZ LeX is to strengthen institutional linkages with leading law firms and corporate houses. The initiative is also expected to help students explore internship and placement opportunities by providing early exposure to industry expectations and professional networks.
The programme is being steered by the Internship and Recruitment Coordination Committee (IRC) of HNLU, reinforcing the university’s focus on career-oriented legal education and industry readiness.
