Indian Flights Resume to Gulf Region Amid West Asia Conflict | LawNotify.in

March 04, 2026 : Indian airlines are set to operate 58 flights between India and countries in the Gulf region today to help facilitate the movement of passengers stranded due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia.

According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Indian carriers have scheduled a total of 58 flights for the day. Of these, 30 flights will be operated by IndiGo, while 23 flights will be run by Air India and Air India Express. The ministry said it is closely monitoring the rapidly changing airspace situation in parts of West Asia and assessing its impact on international flight operations.

The ministry noted that the conflict has already caused significant disruptions. So far, 1,221 flights operated by Indian airlines and 388 flights by foreign carriers have been cancelled because of the situation in the region.

To manage the disruptions, Indian airlines have made calibrated adjustments to their flight schedules. Long-haul and ultra-long-haul services are gradually being resumed using alternative routes that bypass restricted airspace areas.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation also said it is in constant communication with airlines and is monitoring ticket prices to ensure there is no unreasonable surge in airfares during this period. Airlines have been directed to maintain clear communication with passengers and strictly follow regulatory guidelines related to refunds, rescheduling, and passenger assistance.

Passengers have been advised to check the latest flight status directly with their respective airlines before leaving for the airport and to rely only on official sources for accurate updates.
