March 31, 2026 : Students from the law faculty staged a protest at the Registrar’s office of Atal University on Monday, raising strong objections over alleged irregularities in the odd semester examination results. The protesting students created a commotion and raised slogans inside the office in the presence of Registrar Tarnish Gautam.
The students claimed that the university administration showed serious negligence in declaring the results. According to them, many students were awarded identical marks across subjects, while several others were marked absent despite having appeared in the examinations. They termed this a grave injustice affecting their academic future.
Students from DP Vipra Law College, who led the protest, demanded free re-evaluation for all affected candidates. They also called for a fair and high-level inquiry into the issue of uniform marking. Additionally, they urged the administration to immediately correct records of students wrongly marked absent and to refund previously paid re-evaluation fees.
The protesting students further demanded that those scoring below 240 marks but securing at least 36 marks in any subject should be given an opportunity to appear in practical examinations.
The demonstration continued for a considerable time, with students sitting on a धरना (sit-in protest) and raising slogans inside the Registrar’s office. Eventually, Registrar Tarnish Gautam assured the students that their concerns would be taken seriously and that the process of re-evaluation would be initiated.
