  • MEA Sets Up Control Room, Issues Helpline Numbers for Indians Amid West Asia Situation

    March 04, 2026 : The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has set up a dedicated Control Room in view of the evolving situation in West Asia and the Gulf region. The facility will operate from 9 AM to 9 PM to assist Indian nationals seeking information or support.

    People can contact the Control Room through the toll-free number 1800118797, or by calling 011-23012113, 011-23014104, and 011-23017905.

    The MEA said that Indian embassies in the affected region have also activated 24×7 emergency helplines to help coordinate safety measures and assist with any possible evacuation efforts if required.

    Indian authorities are closely monitoring the situation and remain in touch with missions in the region to ensure the safety and well-being of Indian citizens.
