Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet French President Emmanuel Macron in Mumbai on February 17 during the latter’s three-day official visit to India.
President Macron is visiting India from February 17 to 19 at the invitation of the Prime Minister. During his stay, he will take part in the AI Impact Summit hosted by India and hold detailed bilateral discussions with PM Modi in Mumbai. This marks Macron’s fourth visit to India and his first official visit to Mumbai.
The two leaders are scheduled to meet at Lok Bhavan in Mumbai at around 3:15 pm on February 17. They are expected to review progress under the India-France Strategic Partnership and explore ways to deepen and broaden cooperation, particularly in new and emerging sectors.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the talks will also address regional and global developments, reflecting the increasing strategic convergence between the two countries on key geopolitical issues.
Later in the evening, at approximately 5:15 pm, the Prime Minister and the French President will jointly inaugurate the India-France Year of Innovation 2026.
They will also interact with business leaders, start-ups, researchers and innovators from both sides, signalling a renewed push to expand collaboration in technology, research and innovation-led industries.
