Selection Process
Selection will be based on a single Computer-Based Test (CBT) of 100 marks, followed by document verification. The exam will include 25 marks from general subjects such as General Knowledge, Hindi, English, Mathematics, and Science, and 75 marks from nursing-specific subjects.
The examination will be conducted in two shifts daily: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Minimum qualifying marks are 50 percent for general category candidates and 40 percent for reserved categories.
Application Procedure
Applicants must apply online through the official MPESB portal by completing registration, filling out the application form, uploading required documents, and paying the prescribed fee. Offline applications will not be accepted.
Context
The recruitment comes amid ongoing concerns in the state’s nursing education system. Reports indicate that only a limited number of government nursing colleges currently hold valid recognition, while several institutions remain non-compliant. Additionally, thousands of candidates from previous entrance examinations are still awaiting counselling due to unresolved irregularities.
