March 17, 2026 : The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) conducted its first National Workshop on the MSME Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Portal in New Delhi today. The initiative is aimed at promoting faster, affordable, and technology-driven solutions for resolving commercial disputes involving micro and small enterprises.

According to the Ministry, the workshop brought together MSME industry associations, Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Councils, and legal experts to discuss ways to strengthen dispute resolution systems. A key focus was to help stakeholders better understand the features and functioning of the MSME ODR Portal.

Speaking at the event, MSME Secretary S.C.L. Das called on all stakeholders to take shared responsibility for the system’s success. He also emphasized the importance of strong coordination between the Centre and States to ensure effective implementation of the ODR mechanism for timely dispute resolution.
