March 12, 2026 : In accordance with the directions of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, the first National Lok Adalat of the year 2026 will be organized on 14 March 2026 at the District and Sessions Court, Baikunthpur (District Korea), as well as at the Civil Courts of Manendragarh, Chirmiri, and Janakpur. The Lok Adalat will also be held in the Revenue Courts of District MCB.

On this day, cases that are suitable for settlement will be resolved in a cordial and amicable manner. Matters likely to be taken up include compoundable criminal cases, civil disputes, motor accident claim cases, bank and electricity-related matters, execution cases, family disputes, and bank-related matters that have not yet been filed in court.

Preparations for the National Lok Adalat began about a month in advance. District and Sessions Judge and Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Mr. Yogesh Pareek, held meetings with judicial officers, members of the Bar Association, the Collector of Korea, the Collector of MCB, and the Superintendents of Police of Baikunthpur and Manendragarh. During the meetings, he emphasized that as many settlement-eligible cases as possible should be listed for the Lok Adalat and sought full cooperation from all concerned authorities to ensure effective disposal of cases.

People whose settlement-eligible matters are pending before the courts are encouraged to appear before the concerned civil and revenue courts on 14 March and resolve their disputes amicably through the National Lok Adalat.
