Raipur, January 12, 2026 : In a case of negligence in agricultural land record correction and online mapping, Patwari Smt. Kamini Kare of Patwari Circle No. 3 in Korba district has been suspended with immediate effect. Additionally, a show cause notice has been issued to the Hardibazar Tehsildar for lack of proper monitoring. The action was taken on the directions of Korba Collector Kunal Dudawat.

The district administration had received complaints that farmers from villages Nonbirra, Urdta and Puta, under Revenue Inspector Circle Tivrata and Tehsil Hardibazar, were unable to sell their paddy at procurement centres at the minimum support price. Taking the matter seriously, the Collector ordered an inquiry.

According to the investigation report submitted by the Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue), Pali, it was found that the concerned Patwari failed to conduct field inspections and verification of land records for several farmers. Due to this lapse, affected farmers were unable to sell their paddy. The act was considered a violation of government instructions and a clear case of negligence and arbitrariness in duty, leading to her suspension. During the suspension period, her headquarters has been fixed at the Pali Tehsil Office.

It is noteworthy that, as per government directives, the Korba district administration is expediting the process of correcting left-out girdawari entries, rectifying erroneous recorded land areas, and completing online mapping to ensure farmers do not face difficulties during procurement.
