Law Notify : Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday welcomed the decision of the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court to quash the FIR registered against Amit Malviya over his social media posts criticising remarks made by Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Sanatan Dharma.
Speaking to reporters at Madurantakam, Goyal said the court’s order reaffirmed that justice ultimately prevails. He launched a sharp attack on the ruling DMK, alleging that its leaders, including Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, were anti-Hindu and involved in corruption, and asserted that they should be voted out of power.
The Union Minister also said the BJP was strengthening its alliance with NDA partners for the upcoming elections, adding that the AIADMK would lead the electoral contest. He described the public meeting scheduled for Friday as a key political moment, noting that all alliance leaders would share the stage with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who would formally launch the campaign. Goyal claimed the campaign would mark the beginning of the end for what he termed the “corrupt DMK government.”
