February 10, 2026 : Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma visited Khilora village in Simga block on Tuesday, where he received a warm welcome from local representatives and residents during his first official visit to the village. On the occasion, the Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for various completed and upcoming development works worth approximately ₹1.5 crore.
Among the completed projects inaugurated were a prayer shed constructed at a cost of ₹15 lakh, a water tank built for ₹1.02 crore, stage renovation work costing ₹3 lakh, a boundary wall for the cremation ground developed at ₹5 lakh, and a community building for Bal Samaj constructed at ₹5 lakh.
In addition, foundation stones were laid for the construction of two Public Distribution System (PDS) buildings, estimated at ₹10 lakh and ₹9.85 lakh respectively.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Verma stated that the state government remains committed to the holistic development of every citizen. He noted that development activities are progressing rapidly across the state and that the effective implementation of government schemes has strengthened public confidence and satisfaction. He added that a wave of prosperity is visible throughout the region.
Interacting with schoolchildren present at the event, the Minister emphasized the importance of education and encouraged them to move forward in life with discipline and hard work.
District and Janpad Panchayat members, local public representatives, and a large number of villagers were present during the programme.
