March 10, 2026 : The results for five Rajya Sabha seats in West Bengal have been declared following the completion of the election process. Four candidates from the Trinamool Congress and one from the Bharatiya Janata Party have been elected to the Upper House.
TMC candidates Babul Supriyo, Koel Mallick, Rajeev Kumar and Menaka Guruswamy were declared winners, while Rahul Sinha secured the seat for the BJP. The successful candidates were later issued their election certificates.
Menaka Guruswamy was not present during the certificate distribution, and state minister Arup Biswas received the certificate on her behalf.
All the candidates had filed their nominations at the West Bengal Assembly on the 5th of this month as part of the election process.
