February 27, 2026 : In compliance with the Supreme Court’s direction, the incomplete final electoral roll of West Bengal will be published tomorrow. The list will include the names of voters whose documents were verified through the judicial process carried out under the Special Intensive Revision ordered by the Court.

According to sources in the Election Commission, the draft roll will contain the names of 7 crore 8 lakh voters. These names will also remain in the final roll. However, the list will be classified into different categories. Voters whose applications have been accepted will have their names included without any remark. Names proposed for deletion will carry the word “Delete” beside them. Around 60 lakh voters whose documents are still under judicial scrutiny will have the word “Adjudication” mentioned next to their names.

The State’s Chief Electoral Officer, Manoj Kumar Agarwal, said that printing of the voter list began at full pace this morning and will continue through the night. The list is expected to be uploaded online by tomorrow afternoon. Voters can access it on the Election Commission’s official website, the Chief Electoral Officer’s website, and the ECI Net mobile application.

Copies of the roll will also be shared with all recognised political parties by the afternoon. Two printed copies will be provided to each district election officer. In addition, offline copies are being dispatched to the offices of district magistrates, sub-divisional officers, and block development officers so that members of the public can check the voter list in person. In Kolkata, physical copies will be available at the Jessop Building and the Survey Building.
