IIM Raipur to Host Its First International Case Conference 2026

Raipur : The Indian Institute of Management Raipur is set to launch its first International Case Conference 2026 on Thursday, 29 January 2026, at its campus. The three-day international event, running from 29 to 31 January 2026, marks an important milestone in the institute’s efforts to strengthen experiential and case-based learning in management education.

The conference will bring together academicians, researchers, industry professionals and policymakers from India and overseas to engage in discussions on contemporary business practices and innovations in case-based pedagogy.

Proceedings will begin with a Pre-Conference Workshop on Thursday, 29 January 2026. The workshop is designed to enhance skills in case writing, teaching methodologies and effective classroom integration of case studies. It will be conducted by noted case experts Ms. Namrata Arora and Ms. Saloni Chaturvedi, who have extensive experience in case pedagogy, academic research and scholarly publishing. The sessions will cover the fundamentals of the case method, case ideation, research and structuring, preparation of teaching notes, and effective classroom delivery.

The main conference, scheduled for 30 and 31 January 2026, will feature keynote and plenary sessions by distinguished scholars. The inaugural keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Virginia Bodolica, Head of Management at the American University of Sharjah and an internationally recognised management scholar. Other prominent speakers include Professor Ashok Banerjee, Director of IIM Udaipur; Professor Debjit Roy from the Operations and Decision Sciences area at IIM Ahmedabad; and Professor P. D. Jose, Professor of Strategy at IIM Bangalore.

Across the two days, the conference will host plenary sessions, panel discussions and multiple parallel tracks covering themes such as contemporary business practices, governance and public policy, technology and artificial intelligence in management education, sustainability, entrepreneurship, finance and global business strategies. The programme will also explore innovative pedagogical approaches, including role-play-based learning and AI-enabled case teaching.

Professor Sanjeev Prashar, Director-in-Charge of IIM Raipur and Chief Patron of the International Case Conference 2026, said that case-based learning plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between theory and practice while developing managerial competence. He noted that the conference and the pre-conference workshop are intended to promote meaningful academic exchange and strengthen practice-oriented management education.

The conference is supported by the Government of Chhattisgarh through the Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation and Punjab National Bank as key sponsors. Emerald Publishing and ServiceSetu Academics are supporting academic dissemination and outreach.
