Ayush Polyclinic Secures First Prize, Belargondi Government Ayurveda Dispensary Wins Third in Chhattisgarh Kayakalp Ayush Awards

Rajnandgaon, February 10, 2026 : Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal honored leading Ayush institutions of Chhattisgarh for their outstanding contribution to public healthcare delivery. The Ayush Polyclinic received the First Prize, while in the dispensary category, Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Ayush), Government Ayurveda Dispensary, Belargondi was awarded the Third Prize.

The awards were presented under the Kayakalp Ayush Programme implemented in Chhattisgarh as part of the National Ayush Mission. The evaluation for the year 2024 was conducted on parameters including cleanliness, infection control practices, infrastructure maintenance, campus upkeep, aesthetic improvements, and overall quality of healthcare services delivered at government Ayush institutions.

The ceremony was attended by Secretary, Medical Education and Ayush, Shri Amit Kataria, and Director Ayush, Smt. Santan Devi Jangde, along with senior officials of the department.

District Ayush Officer, Rajnandgaon, Dr. Shilpa Mishra, was present along with the Ayush Polyclinic team, which included Ayurveda Medical Officer Dr. Pragya Saxena, Homeopathy Medical Officer Dr. Harsha Baraiya, Unani Medical Officer Dr. Rubina Ansari, Yoga Therapist Dr. Bharti Yadav, Nursing Sister Smt. Hemlata Bada, Pharmacists Smt. Anusuiya Sahu and Smt. Kirti V. Hari, Dispensary Attendant Shri Phulesh Nirmalkar, and staff members Damini, Beena, and Rohan.

Representing the Government Ayurveda Dispensary, Belargondi were Ayurveda Medical Officer Dr. Aniruddha Patel, Ayurveda Pharmacist Shri Devdas Sahu, and Shri Shankar Lal Kanwar.

Also present at the event were Joint Director Ayush Dr. Sunil Das, Registrar Ayush Chhattisgarh Dr. Sanjay Shukla, Deputy Directors Ayush Dr. Kiran Tigga and Dr. Arvind Maravi, Principal of Government Ayurveda College and Medical Superintendent Dr. P. K. Joshi, Assistant Directors Dr. Sonkar and Dr. Gajendra Baghel, along with other departmental officers and staff.

The recognition highlights the state government’s continued focus on strengthening traditional systems of medicine through structured quality standards and improved healthcare delivery under the National Ayush Mission.
