  • Preparatory Meeting Held in Dantewada for National Lok Adalat Scheduled on March 14

    Dantewada, February 13, 2026 : A key meeting was held at the Nyay Sadan in the District Court परिसर, Dantewada, to review preparations for the National Lok Adalat scheduled for March 14, 2026. The meeting was convened under the directions of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, and the Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority, Bilaspur.

    The session was chaired by District and Sessions Judge Santosh Kumar Aditya, who also serves as Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Dantewada. The meeting was attended by the Principal Judge of the Family Court, all presiding officers of the Dantewada district judiciary, the Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, members of the Bar, representatives of insurance companies, panel lawyers, and officials from various government departments and financial institutions.

    Representatives from the Electricity Department, Municipal Councils of Dantewada, Geedam and Barsur, the Telecommunications Department, State Bank of India, Chhattisgarh Rajya Gramin Bank, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank of India, and the District Antyavasayi Department were also present.

    The primary objective of the meeting was to ensure that a maximum number of eligible cases from different departments and banks are placed before the upcoming National Lok Adalat so that litigants can benefit from speedy and accessible dispute resolution.

    Addressing the gathering, Judge Aditya directed judicial officers, advocates and departmental representatives to identify and list as many pending and suitable cases as possible for settlement through the National Lok Adalat. He emphasized that Lok Adalat serves as an effective platform that saves time, money and effort for citizens while delivering swift justice.

    He also instructed concerned departments and financial institutions to maintain close coordination and take necessary steps for wider publicity of the National Lok Adalat to ensure greater participation and successful disposal of cases.
