The Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission has announced the schedule for public hearings on petitions filed by the state’s power utilities concerning tariff and revenue matters.
According to information released by the Commission, petitions have been submitted by Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited, Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company Limited, Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited and Chhattisgarh State Load Despatch Centre.
The petitions relate to the truing up of accounts for the financial year 2024–25, approval of Annual Revenue Requirement (ARR) for the period 2026–27 to 2029–30, determination of retail tariff, and sanction of capital investment plans. The Commission will conduct regional-level online public hearings to consider these matters.
The Commission noted that summaries of the petitions have already been published in newspapers and are available on its official website, www.cserc.gov.in. Consumers and stakeholders who wish to participate may do so through the designated regional offices on the scheduled dates.
As per the notified programme, public hearings will be held on February 17, 2026, in Durg from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon, in Bilaspur from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm, and in Rajnandgaon from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
On February 18, 2026, hearings will take place in Ambikapur from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon, in Jagdalpur from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm, and in Raigarh from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
The Commission has appealed to consumers, public representatives and other stakeholders to actively participate in the hearings to help ensure transparency and public involvement in the tariff determination process.
