The 21st Chhattisgarh Young Scientists Conference (CYSC 2026) will be held on March 17 and 18, 2026 at the International Institute of Information Technology Naya Raipur. The event is being jointly organized by the Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology and IIIT Naya Raipur, with the aim of providing a strong academic platform to young scientists and researchers from across the state.
CYSC 2026 is designed to encourage original research, innovation, and academic excellence among emerging researchers in Chhattisgarh. The conference seeks to promote high-quality and need-based research aligned with the state’s development priorities, while also offering participants national-level exposure and recognition within the scientific community.
Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Dr. Kaveeshwar Prashant, Director General of the Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology, said the conference is a flagship effort to identify and nurture talented young scientists in the state. Through CYSC 2026, innovative and original research carried out in Chhattisgarh will be presented on a broader national platform.
In each subject category, one selected young scientist will receive a cash award of Rs 21,000. In addition, awardees will be given the opportunity to undertake advanced research for two months at a national laboratory, reputed research institute, or recognized university in India.
The conference will cover 20 thematic areas, including agricultural sciences, agricultural engineering, biological sciences, biotechnology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, biomedical sciences, chemical sciences, and earth and atmospheric sciences.
