  • CBI Conducts Multi-State Raids in Major Digital Fraud Case, Three Arrested

    February 26, 2026 : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) carried out an extensive search operation across six states in connection with a large digital fraud case and arrested three accused.

    Raids were conducted at several locations in Delhi, Bengaluru in Karnataka, Palakkad in Kerala, Nagpur in Maharashtra, Hyderabad in Telangana, and Goa.

    According to the CBI, the case involves a fraud of more than one crore rupees committed against a senior citizen from Kerala’s Kottayam district. During the searches, officials seized digital devices, debit cards, bank account documents, and other materials considered relevant to the investigation.

    The agency stated that further investigation is underway to trace additional associates, including possible domestic and international links.
