March 16, 2026 : The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE), Raipur has registered an FIR after media reports and social media posts alleged that the Class 12 Hindi board examination paper had been leaked prior to the exam.
According to the Board, the Class 12 Hindi examination was conducted successfully on March 14, 2026. However, on March 15 at around 5 PM, information surfaced on social media platforms, particularly WhatsApp, claiming that a handwritten sheet containing questions related to the Hindi subject had gone viral a day earlier on March 13.
Student organizations reportedly claimed that the viral handwritten paper contained questions similar to those asked in the Hindi “B-Set” question paper of the board examination. Several newspapers also carried reports suggesting similarities between the questions appearing in the viral note and those asked in the examination.
The Board clarified that the viral material circulating on social media and published in news reports is not clearly visible or readable, making it difficult to verify its authenticity at this stage.
The Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education stated that the related video or material surfaced only after the examination had been conducted. Therefore, prima facie, it cannot be treated as a confirmed case of question paper leakage.
Nevertheless, considering the sensitivity and importance of board examinations, the Board has taken the matter seriously. As a precautionary measure, an FIR has been registered and a detailed investigation has been initiated with the help of the police and cyber cell to ascertain the factual position.
The Board Secretary reiterated that the institution remains fully committed to maintaining the confidentiality and transparency of the examination process. He added that strict action will be taken in accordance with rules if any irregularity is found during the investigation.
